In all her longing, she’s never ceased to try.

To get to him no matter the suffering nor time.

She spends eternity trying to get to the end

Where their lives together can truly begin.

It seems that he is never within her reach

No matter who she uses ever so desperately.

She’s the one thing we’re given once we’re born

And we’re the link to the one she yearns.

She can be tough and cruel, but all in the name of love

And cut our gifts short for the one she puts above.

But her story is a sad one, just like many of ours

It leaves a bitterness in your heart, ever so sour.

In the end, all she can do is catch a glimpse of him

Because even in reality, stories never really end.
