Can you imagine?
The warmth from the sun
hitting exposed flesh
through sheer curtains
as we dance between sheets.
Can you imagine?
The butterflies in your stomach
as I whisper to you sweet things,
and make you shutter
with every heartbeat.
Just imagine.
Playful mornings filled of light
and laughter while the nights
filled with passion so strong
it feels like you’ll break.
But I can only imagine
That you’ll one day see me
and imagine all that I do
then maybe I will no longer
have to wait.
It’s all that I can imagine.

Google “Imaginary Lover.” It’s a 1978 chart by the Atlanta Rhythm Section.
